The Manager of Internal Communications will help build, scale, and execute strategic employee communications for a highly matrixed company, through a variety of online and offline channels, in the pursuit to increase engagement, attract new team members, and standardize the team member experience.

The unique responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the essential functions listed below:

• Support the development and execution of strategic communications with Senior Director – mapped to the end-to-end team member experience, partnering closely with business and HR leaders.
o Support implementation of new programs related to the strategy and framework, with an emphasis on effective team member experience activations by audience segment and according to a cohesive channel plan.
• Regularly contribute to internal communications and change management content, including for the intranet, newsletters, and emails. Ability to grasp desired business outcomes and quickly translate into the development of aforementioned materials, with an eye toward preserving and building internal culture.
• Create informative, emotional content to help bring the company’s purpose, objectives, and culture to life – inspiring and bringing pride to current and prospective team members.
• Collaborate with external communications to ensure all messaging and initiatives are communicated in a consistent and organized manner.
• Help shepherd development and introduction of new channels and formats (videos, infographics, audio recordings) including to reach the frontline audience.
• Advise internal business partners on tailored messaging, channels, and approaches with the goal of delivering the best possible action and organizational outcome.
• Champion annual company-wide theme, working with leadership to sustain momentum in line with business objectives.



To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed throughout this job description are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
• 4-7+ years in internal communications; experience with team member/employee experience and change management preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree, and experience in communications, healthcare or hospitality industry preferred.
• Strategic thinker, creative, understands the principles of storytelling, and eye for detail.
• Willingness to do what it takes to complete projects with a dedication to quality and innovative thinking.
• Extraordinary writing and editing skills.
• Visibility into the inner workings of internal communications strategies and channels, including intranet portals.
• Resourceful, self-motivated, and able to independently prioritize in a high growth, ever changing environment.
• Ability to assist in developing comprehensive, multi-channel strategic communications plans that reflect an understanding of the company’s goals and initiatives, with tactics to help achieve them.
• Strong initiative and ability to handle multiple projects/roles in evolving environments, both individually and within a team.
• Resilient, with the ability to work to deadlines and maintain high levels of professionalism while managing multiple demands.
• Ability to quickly build relationships with Corporate Marketing & Communications team members and work collaboratively to contribute to all team initiatives.
