Sunrise Senior Living has an immediate need for a Senior User Experience (UX) Designer at its corporate office in McLean, VA (Tysons Corner).

The ideal candidate must have extensive experience with UX design for internal workflows and end-users including content management and analysis, taxonomy/tagging management, publishing, search tuning and online community management/moderation. The selected candidate will have a proven track record of successfully completing complex projects involving all stages of modern experience design—candidates with problem analysis and research to high fidelity mockups and detailed specifications will be given hiring preference.

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

 

Responsibilities:

  • Gather input from stakeholders and using extensive user experience design knowledge and experience to help shape project requirements and scope
  • Create design artifacts such as journey maps, site maps, flow diagrams, prototypes and others to help communicate the design approach and to gain alignment across stakeholders
  • Develop annotated low, medium and high fidelity design assets, ensuring the offering of multiple concepts to help elicit meaningful feedback
  • Create prototypes for testing and to flesh-out designs and refine interactions Collaborate with Sunrise team members to test designs
  • Revise and update designs and documentation based on continuing user testing and customer feedback
  • Apply best practices with strong consideration for accessibility, scalability, and ease of maintenance 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, visual design, communications, computer science, or other closely related field, from an accredited college or university required
  • Five to eight (5-8) years’ experience designing for high-performing internal users across publishing, content management, and/or community moderation platforms
  • Extensive familiarity with coding languages and specialized software programs required
